Why I joined SWE: I joined SWE because I wanted to find a supportive community with like-minded STEM people, I also wanted to get guidance in the professional realm! Being able to network, and grow professionally has been an amazing perk of being a part of SWE!
Fun fact: I love playing videogames!

Erika Adams
Position: Vice President 
Why I joined SWE: I joined SWE to find a community on campus and because I am passionate about diversity in STEM.
Fun Fact: I love acting in musicals.

Ritzwi Chapagain
Position: Director of Fundraising
Why I joined SWE: SWE is a great opportunity to make people aware of the opportunities that they may not be aware they have. Personally, SWE has opened my eyes to how diverse the engineering community is and how many people are out there wanting to make a change in the world. I feel passionately about fostering and creating inclusive communities that people can look to for guidance. I'm looking forward to making SWE that type of community this year!!
Fun fact: I really enjoy reading books and gardening!

Why I Joined SWE: I joined SWE because I wanted a support system of women who have similar interests. I didn't realize how much I belonged in SWE until I joined and saw how supportive and amazing everyone is.

Lauren Galus
Position: Secretary
Why I joined SWE: I joined SWE because it is very important to me to be a part of a community of like-minded individuals who empower and support each other to achieve their goals.  
Fun fact: I have my motorcycle endorsement, and my first motorcycle was a black Kawasaki Ninja 650.

Hollie Maddocks
Position: Director of Marketing
Why I joined SWE: I wanted to integrate myself into community of supportive and driven women in STEM that could help me grow in my career field and be a support system along my college STEM journey. Building strong relationships/friendships with the amazing women in SWE seemed like an invaluable experience that I could not pass up!!
Fun fact: I am a dancer in a contemporary/lyrical company in Downtown Denver

Carly Meador
Position: Graduate Student Coordinator
Why I joined SWE: I joined SWE to network with other smart and inspiring women. I have a strong admiration for my STEM mentors who have overcome odds to excel in a predominately male field, and I seek to provide this mentorship in continuum to encourage others to follow their passions without limitations. The best way to do this is by cultivating a community around this inspiration and support network and that's what SWE is to me. 
Fun fact: I am very passionate about music production/composition/and performance as a DJ/ Vocalist going by the name Spirah. I see this as another subsect of engineering (audio) that needs strong female voices, and I am passionate about cultivating the same safe community for women in this arena.

Maryam Darbeheshti
Position: SWE Faculty Advisor
Why I joined SWE: I have been SWE faculty advisor since 2013 and we have seen a lot of growth in our SWE chapter over the years. Being a part of SWE has been a wonderful experience and the fact that many female students have looked to me as their role model and mentor in a male dominated field is one of the greatest achievements of my career.  ​
Fun fact: I love painting and gardening!
